The Vanuatu Citizenship Programme

Belong to the Republic of Vanuatu

Citizenship here is more than a passport — it is a lasting place in a peaceful Pacific nation. Every grant is made through a transparent, contribution-based process, and safeguarded by a Constitutional Commission of the Republic.

Message from the Chairman

"Welcome to the Citizenship Office and Commission of the Republic of Vanuatu — a Constitutional body entrusted with the integrity of Vanuatu citizenship in every form."

To our fellow ni-Vanuatu, and to those abroad who hope to make these islands their home, I extend a sincere welcome. Our charge is simple to state and demanding to keep: to administer every pathway to citizenship — by birth, descent, naturalisation, marriage and investment — fairly, openly, and with an integrity that does not bend.

A national citizenship authority

More than an investment programme

We are the Constitutional authority for every Vanuatu citizenship — not only the investment routes the world knows us for, but citizenship by birth, descent, naturalisation and marriage. That mandate is written into the Citizenship Act [Cap 112] and Chapter 3 of the national Constitution.

What your contribution builds

A contribution to the nation — not a transaction

The Development Support Program was created to fund national development — infrastructure, public services and the priorities of a small island state. Contributions are paid to the Republic and support the national budget, and the Commission is committed to reporting on the programme openly.
